Lino printing is an accessible medium that makes printmaking possible without many supplies or technical equipment. Lino printing is a form of block printing, which traditionally uses wood. Block printing was invented in 600 AD in China. It is a medium that lends easily to graphic shapes and patterning, and where each impression creates individual nuance and variety. For all these reasons, lino printing is an important part of my artistic practice.
