azure dragon
The Azure Dragon is one of the four celestial guardians in Chinese mythology, representing the East, spring, and the element of wood. As a guardian, it symbolizes protection, vitality, leadership, and benevolence, embodying both compassion and strength.
The Azure Dragon is often depicted holding a pearl. The pearl is often a flaming pearl, which has many meanings, but the most common is of wisdom and enlightenment, "pearl of wisdom". The eternal pursuit of the pearl by the dragon is seen as symbolic of the quest for knowledge and truth, where the journey itself is as important as the destination.
